Art AfterHours, Session 4 June 6, and June 13 --Sculpted Soap Holder (2-part) Immerse yourself in the three-dimensional world of sculpting. Form shapes out of polymer clay and apply them to three dimensional form. We will work with traditional coils and slabs, as well as, canes, mica colorants, and sculpting tools. Ascertain methods for attaching uncured clay to cured clay. Finish a vessel or soap holder in this two-part class.
Break an image into layers of color reminiscent of Warhol himself. Break an image of your choosing into limited amounts of colors, and follow a process to form one to three layers. In this technology- based class, we will use apps and an iPad, or access them from your own device or iphone. Cut and apply the layers of contrasting, analogous, or tone-on-tone colors of colored Art paper or cardboard to a substrate for a finished dimensional look. Bring fabrics and make your own layered collage quilt.
