Tapatio hosts Cowboys & Cowgirls golf tournament

The rescheduled Tapatio Springs Men’s Golf Association Cowboys & Cowgirls Golf Tournament dodged some rain but was played to completion recently.

The rescheduled Tapatio Springs Men’s Golf Association Cowboys & Cowgirls Golf Tournament dodged some rain but was played to completion recently.

The event was followed by a Crawfish & Shrimp Boil for MGA members and sponsors and it was organized by Barry Halbert and volunteers.

The team of David Werst, David Arneson and Dawn Lott took top honors and first place overall after shooting 14-under par and earned $100 per person. Team captain David Arneson said, “We had a good day with our putters and all team members contributed. It was a fun event, lots of good golf played today.”

The second-place team finished at 13-under par and earned $75 per person, three teams tied for third to pick up $40 per person and two teams tied for sixth to pocket $25 a person.

Also, Mindy Hunter, Charlie Burns, Tammy Howell and Mark Mobley were closest to the pin winners and earned $25 each.
