Farmers Market at Herff Farm, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can buy products directly from local growers, ranchers, and crafters on a beautiful historic German farmstead in the Texas Hill Country. Explore our fenced gardens, pollinator meadow, and trails, and see the historic limestone Herff House. More information available at www. cibolo. org Art in Conservation: Watercolor Class, Herff Farm, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join artist Rebecca Burritt in watercolor class where you learn to paint with the practice of the basic techniques; glazing, wet-in-wet, dry brush and more. Registration is preferred, beginners are welcome and recommended age is 12 and up. Registration and more information are available at www. cibolo. org Gardening 101 Series, Herff Farm, 11 a.m. The Gardening 101 Series is intended for gardeners of all levels and ages. Classes will cover topics from soil care to harvesting and everything in between! Learn from accomplished gardeners Sherry Lim, Mark Mason, Keith Amelung, & more. These classes are during the Farmers Market, and we invite you to join as many classes as you’d like! There is a suggested donation of $10 per family.

Moondance Outdoor Concerts – Lost Mule Band, Cibolo Nature Center, 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Moondance 2023 outdoor concert series is here! Pack a picnic and head over to the Cibolo Nature Center for some music and fun under the oak trees! More information, including ticket purchases, can be found at www. cibolo. org Boerne Lemonade Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lemonade Day is a community program hosted by The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce that teaches young people the entrepreneurial skills they need to start, own and operate their own business, a lemonade stand! Registration is FREE and includes a Lemonade Day backpack and access to lessons on business plans, loans, marketing, advertising, permits, and other important topics. More information can be found at lemonadeday.org/ boerne 11th Annual Derby Extravaganza, Bending Branch Winery, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Something special happens at Bending Branch Winery the first Saturday of every May. Join a celebration of Dr. Bob and Brenda Young’s Kentucky roots! Enjoy a funfilled afternoon at the beautiful Bending Branch Estate with live music, food, wine, hats, horses, and mint juleps. Tickets are $60 for general admission.
