The Champion golf program played at regionals last week in McAllen and returned to Boerne with the individual champions on both the girls and boys side.
Champion’s Savannah Dupre won the girls individual title and Phoenix Guerra claimed the individual title on the boys side, the first time that’s been done in Boerne ISD golf history.
The Lady Chargers qualified for state, while the Champion boys will send Guerra after the team didn’t advance past the district round.
This year’s girls 5A state tourney is scheduled for May 15-16 at the White Wing Golf Course, while the boys state tourney is scheduled for the following week May 22-23, also at White Wing.
