Protect your Privacy with Document Shredding at Boerne Frost Financial Center, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Frost invites the San Antonio community to come to a Frost financial center to have sensitive documents shredded. Guests are welcome to bring up to 10 containers with any paper products to be shredded, and there is no need to remove paper clips or staples. Paper documents can remain in envelopes. The events are a tradition at Frost, which shares its customers’ concern for privacy and secure information.
St. John’s Wild Game Dinner, Kendall County Fair Grounds, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. St. John’s Wild Game Dinner raises money for local and international charities. This event features delicious wild game fare, door prizes, silent and live auctions, kids’ games, and more. Adult tickets are $35 if purchased before the event and $50 if purchased at the door. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5.

Meet Don Tate!, PHPL Community Room, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. PHPL is honored to welcome renowned author/illustrator Don Tate for a highly engaging and entertaining presentation. Don’s books often spotlight little- known, yet fascinating black people who persevered against seemingly insurmountable challenges during the period of American slavery. He has stated that “children’s books needed to show a range of experience, including suffering and enduring.”

Cibolo Nature Center Bird Survey, Cibolo Nature Center, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers will help identify and count bird species in the riparian, savannah and human structure habitats of Cibolo Nature Center and submit findings to eBird (on online database administered by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology). There will be several miles of walking on generally flat ground. All levels of birding experience are welcome! This will be a good opportunity to practice and expand birding skills.

Adult Night Hike, Cibolo Nature Center, 7:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Join us on the trails at sunset for our Adult Night Hikes! These hikes are focused on nocturnal wildlife viewing, so hikers can expect longer hikes, using unfamiliar trails, and spending time without the use of flashlights.
