Hounds sending 5 tennis players to state
Sam Gonzales and Jess Gonzales won the regional titles in boys doubles last week and will play at state this coming week in San Antonio.

Boerne High qualified five tennis players to the 4A state tennis tournament scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25-26, in San Antonio. 

The semifinals are Tuesday at Northside’s Annemarie Tennis Center and the finals will be held on Wednesday at the Northside Tennis Center near the O’Connor campus.

Regionals was also held in San Antonio.

The Greyhounds cleaned up in boys doubles and took the top 2 spots after brothers Sam Gonzales and Jess Gonzales won the regional title by defeating teammates Ben Rowe and Justin Barraza.

Both boys doubles teams qualified for state, while Chloe O’Connor finished second in girls singles to also punch her ticket to state.

Ian Siemens placed third at regionals and will serve as an alternate at state.
