The Geneva School of Boerne softball team was at home to host Corpus Christi Incarnate Word on Tuesday.

Incarnate Word was able to knock out 12 hits and score 12 runs to defeat the Eagles, 12-0, in five innings. Geneva is 5-4 overall and visited Holy Cross Friday.

After a scoreless first inning, C.C. Incarnate Word tallied 6 runs in the second inning and then added 6 more in the top of the fifth.

Geneva had to answer in the bottom of the inning and score at least 3 runs to continue the game but weren’t able to. The Eagles struggled at the plate and only came up with 1 hit in the entire game.

Madeline Egbert was Geneva’s pitcher in the contest.
