Boerne boys beat Bandera again

The Boerne High baseball team closed out the week with another run-rule victory over Bandera on Friday. The Hounds beat the Bulldogs 12-0 after defeating them on Wednesday, 14-0.

The Boerne High baseball team closed out the week with another run-rule victory over Bandera on Friday. The Hounds beat the Bulldogs 12-0 after defeating them on Wednesday, 14-0.

Boerne is 20-2 overall and 7-0 in district. The Greyhounds open up a series this week against Fredericksburg. BHS hosted the Billies on Monday and visit Fred on Thursday.

The Hounds only needed five innings to finish off the Bulldogs on Friday and scored in all five frames. They added a single run in the first, 4 in the second, another in the third, 4 more in the fourth and then finished by scoring 2 in the fifth to get its 12 runs behind 13 hits.

Landon Lestourgeon pitched a great game and only gave up 1 hit, no runs or walks and struck out 10 on just 70 pitches.

Riley Pechacek almost hit for the cycle and recorded a triple, double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored 3 times, while Cam Johnson also legged out a triple, hit 2 singles and collected 4 RBI as the two combined for 7 of their 13 hits.

Brooks Perez singled, took 2 walks and scored 3 runs, Jace Preston walked and scored, Hutson Hendrix singled, walked, pushed in a run and scored twice. Cale Blalock doubled and picked up an RBI, Hudson McNew singled and Walker Hill doubled and singled, drove in a run and scored twice.
