The Geneva School of Boerne baseball team took a break from district action on Friday and played the Central Catholic JV.

The Geneva School of Boerne baseball team took a break from district action on Friday and played the Central Catholic JV.

Geneva reached the 20-win plateau and after the Eagles recorded the 4-0 win over the Buttons. They visited Schertz John Paul II on Tuesday and host the S.A. Wolverines on Thursday, 5 p.m.

The Eagles treated Friday’s game like a non-district contest and used four different pitchers in the game, who combined for the shutout and only gave up 2 hits.

Jake Roberson went the longest on the hill and threw 3 innings, while Shawn George threw 2 frames and Guy George and Sam Armstrong both tossed an inning.

Roberson gave up a hit and fanned 4, Shawn George didn’t yield a hit in 2 innings, Guy George struck out 1 and Armstrong scattered 1 hit and sat down 1.

The Geneva bats came up with 8 hits and the team scored 3 runs in the third and added another in the fifth for its 4 runs.

Guy Kohler and Guy George both doubled and singled, with George scoring a run and Kohler scoring 2 runs.

C. Lutz scored a run, Grant Roberson picked up an RBI, Cannon Menn singled and drove in a run, George Viña knocked out 2 singles and Jake Roberson singled.
