Geneva track and field team competes at Cornerstone

The Geneva School of Boerne track and field teams were in action last week at the Cornerstone Invitational and had several athletes set new PRs.

Isabella Godoy took 1st in the 400 and 800 races with times of 1:02 and 2:21, Alex Doran finished 3rd in the 800 after clocking in with a 2:30, Grace Detterick finished 5th in the 1600 with a time of 6:00 and Malyn Arnold came in 6th in the discus with a toss of 79-9.

On the boys side, Brady Chandler won the pole vault after he cleared 10-6, took 1st in the triple jump with a leap of 37-11 and came in 6th in the 300 hurdles after posting a 48.99, while Hayden Allen placed 3rd in the 100 with a time of 11.44 and Griffin Miller was 3rd in the discus with a toss of 112-0.

The 4x200 of Hayden Allen, Nick Nowosiwsky, Jacob Rosenstiel and Brady Chandler combined for a time of 1:37 that was good enough for 3rd place.

Also, Malyn Arnold (shot and discus), Caleb Baggs ( shot), Griffin Miller ( discus), Bradley Chandler (pole vault and 300 hurdles), Jacob Rosenstiel ( discus), Ella Owens ( discus), Nick Nowosiwsky (long jump), Alex Doran (800 meters), Sam Siller (800 and 300 hurdles), Hayden Allen (100), Francesca Dacy (200), Olivia Morgan (200), Reid Wilson (200) and Grace Detterick (1600) all posted PRs in their respective events.
