After a long break, the Geneva School of Boerne softball squad visited Corpus Christi to take on Incarnate Word on Tuesday and it turned into a rough outing for the Eagles.
Geneva fell to the Corpus Christi school, 19-4, in three innings. The Eagles slip to 2-2 overall and played Holy Cross on Friday.
CC Incarnate Word scored 6 runs in the first, 6 in the second and 7 in the third to get its 19 runs. The Eagles tallied 2 in the first and 2 in the third behind 4 hits.
Tessa Murphy had a good game at the plate and hit a doubled and a triple for Geneva, while driving in a run. Kate Friesenhahn also doubled and picked up an RBI.
Madeline Egbert pitched for the Eagles and struck out 4 batters, while giving up 10 hits.
