The Boerne Champion girls soccer squad closed out the regular season with a blowout victory over Seguin Monday at Charger Field.
Champion reached double digits against the Lady Matadors and won the contest, 10-0. The Lady Chargers end 26-5A play at 7-6-1 and are 9-11-1 overall.
Champion was off the rest of the week and will take the field next week to open the playoffs at Leander in first-round action.
Against Seguin, the Lady Chargers tallied 32 shots, including 5 corners with 23 shots on goal. It was 7-0 in the first half and Champion finished with three second-half goals.
Skyleigh Arnold recorded a hat trick and scored 3 goals, Addison Huber, Emma Mae Dixon and Ava Godoy all tallied 2 goals, while Reagan Burkey also knocked in a goal.
Dixon recorded 2 assists, while Huber, Layla Sturgeon, Ashlyn Defries and Brinley Collins all finished with 1 assists as 6 of the goals were assisted.
Maddie Micale and Lola Vaughan were both in goal for the Chargers and combined for the shutout.
