SAN ANTONIO - The Boerne High boys basketball played well against Houston Washington during Friday's 4A state semifinals basketball game in the Alamodome but came up short to the Eagles, 75-69. Boerne put a scare in Washington and even took a 32-31 lead into halftime.

Boerne finishes the year at 32-6 and has had its season end at the state tournament the last three seasons. The three straight regional championships is unprecedented in Boerne ISD basketball history.

The Hounds had four players finish Friday's game in double figures after Barrett Pape scored 19, Koen Wolff and Houston Hendrix both dropped in 14, Trevor Agarwal netted 12 and Colton Hoegemeyer chipped in with 10.
