Boerne Champion has had two coaching changes recently, including one head coach who is leaving and another who left to become a head coach.
Chargers water polo and swim coach Alberto Escalante is leaving Boerne ISD and has accepted a job with Northside ISD.
Escalante helped guide the Champion boys water polo team to the state tournament where they finished second in the state and earned silver medals in the first year as a UIL sport.
