The Boerne Champion softball team picked up a one-sided victory over Memorial Tuesday night at Charger Field, 15-0.

The Lady Chargers are 6-7 overall and off until Tuesday when they open district play at Wagner.

In Tuesday’s game, Champion scratched for 3 runs in the first, added 6 more in the second and after not scoring in the third, the Lady Chargers closed it out with 6 more runs in the fourth to get its 15 runs and end the game.

Champion knocked out 11 hits including a home run by Kassidy Kureska, a triple from Abby Brehmer and a double by Finley Rice.

Dakota Salazar scored a run, Rice plated 2 runs, Riley Murrish hit 2 singles, picked up 2 RBI and scored twice, while Alison Kory hit a single.

Emily Young recorded 2 singles, pushed in 2 runs and scored 2 runs, Kureska picked up 2 RBI and scored on her homer, Ava Trevino hit 2 singles and scored, Brehmer knocked in 2 runs with her triple, Jaycee Benedle singled, scored and collected 2 RBI. Marlena Spurrier singled, Lilly Ritchie scored twice, while Madison Hall and Madison Coker both crossed home plate once.

Trevino picked up the win from the circle and only threw 66 pitches. She gave up 1 hit, no runs, 2 walks and fanned 5.
