BHS baseball beats Barons, 13-2

Boerne High remained undefeated in baseball after the Greyhounds routed St. Mary’s Hall, 13-2, Tuesday night at home in five innings.

The Hounds are 6-0 and began play in the Comal ISD Tournament this weekend where they won their first two games to stand at 8-0 through Thursday.

After the Barons scored 2 in the top of the first, BHS responded with 4 in the bottom half of the inning for the 4-2 and never trailed after that.

The Hounds added a single run in the second and 4 more in the third to open up a 9-2 lead. Boerne closed it out with 4 more in the fourth to make it 13-2 and the game ended in the fifth.

Riley Pechacek doubled, singled, scored 3 runs and picked up 3 RBI. Cam Johnson tripled and singled, pushed in 3 runs and scored twice, Brooks Perez singled, scored twice and picked up an RBI, Hudson McNew and Walker Hill both singled and scored, while Cale Blalock and Jace Preston singled.

Xander Cloudy walked 3 times and scored two times and Caleb Cloutier took 2 walks and scored twice.

McNew, Jake Wright and Thomas Puckett all threw in the game with Wright getting the win. McNew fanned 2, Wright struck out 1 and Puckett sat down 3.
