Greyhounds move close to another district title in boys soccer

The Boerne High boys soccer team is closing in on another district title after they defeated Bandera Tuesday night, 4-0.

The two-time defending state champion Greyhounds are 9-0 in district and 19-3-2. They need a tie in one of their final three matches to secure their fifth district title in a row.

BHS played Great Hearts Northern Oaks Friday and visit Wimberley on Tuesday. They’ll close out the regular season at Canyon Lake after spring break.

Four different Greyhounds tallied goals in Tuesday’s match after Bear Kelly, Joe Ballenger, Jake Herman and Ezekiel Fernandez all knocked in one goal apiece, while Kelly, Ballenger and Jess Gonzales finished with one assist each.
