Champion, Cougars play to 2-2 tie in boys soccer

Boerne Champion hosted New Braunfels Canyon in a boys district soccer match Tuesday and neither team won nor lost because they tied.

The Chargers and the Cougars played to a 2-2 draw, which does give Champion an advantage over NBC in case of a tiebreaker since they won their first-round meeting and then tied in the second round.

Champion is 10-1-3 overall and 7-1-2 in district. They played Kerrville Tivy on Friday and will visit Pieper on Tuesday as they maneuver for a playoff spot.
