Boerne High’s second-round meeting with the Fredericksburg girls soccer team on Tuesday looked a lot like their first-round tilt on Jan. 27.
Back in January, the Lady Hounds beat the Lady Billies, 6-0, and on Tuesday, the Boerne girls did the same thing and defeated Fred with the same score of 6-0.
The Lady Greyhounds are 16-2 overall and still perfect in district at 7-0 as Tuesday’s match started the second round of league play. BHS hosted Davenport Friday and visit Bandera on Tuesday.
Hannah Bowen tallied the first goal of the match on the assist from Kylie Combs and then Combs finished on the second goal to make it 2-0 by halftime.
The Boerne girls opened things up in the second half by recording 4 second-half goals.
Bowen knocked in her second goal of the match to start the half on the assist from Sophia Harper and then Bowen and Combs teamed up once again as Bowen found the back of the net for a hat trick on the Combs assist to make it 4-0.
From there, Kassie Lozano booted in a 40-yarder for a goal and then Combs closed out the scoring with her second goal of the night.
