Geneva swimmers compete at state

Geneva School of Boerne swimmers recently competed at the TAPPS D3 State Swimming Championships at Davis Natatorium in San Antonio where one of the relays earned a medal.

Geneva School of Boerne swimmers recently competed at the TAPPS D3 State Swimming Championships at Davis Natatorium in San Antonio where one of the relays earned a medal.

As a team, the Geneva girls finished 6th with 109 points and the boys scored 63 points for 13th. In the team standings, the Eagles were 8th with a combined 172 points.

RESULTS

The Geneva girls 200yard freestyle relay of Haylee Parnell, Malyn Arnold, Alexandria Bussey and Abigail Bussey teamed up for 3rd place and a bronze medal after recording a time of 1:55.

The girls 200- yard medley relay of Abigail Bussey, Haylee Parnell, Raquel Moerdyk and Malyn Arnold finished 4th with a time of 2:07, while the boys 200-medley relay of Luke Horton, Will Crews, Reid Wilson and Jack Taylor finished 8th with a time of 1:58.

Alexandria Bussey placed 11th in the 200 free with a 2:31, Reid Wilson came in 8th in the boys 200 IM after clocking in at 2:18, Luke Horton was 11th in 2:27, Abigail Bussey finished 5th in the 100 free with a 58.59, Haylee Parnell was 14th in 1:03 and Reid Wilson came in 11th in the boys 100 free with a time of 54.59.

The boys 200-free relay of Luke Horton, Sam Siller, Will Crews and Reid Wilson teamed up for 11th place with a time of 1:51.

Abigail Bussey came in 7th in the girls 100yard backstroke with a 1:08, Luke Horton was 10th in the boys 100 back after recording a 1:09 and Haylee Parnell came in 7th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:16.
