The Boerne Champion girls soccer team closed out the first round of district play last Friday with a road trip to Seguin.

The Lady Matadors were winless in 26-5A entering Friday’s match and the Lady Chargers made sure they stayed that way after Champion posted the 6-0 victory.

Champion is 5-8-1 overall and 3-3-1 in district. They kicked off the second round Tuesday at Wagner.

The Lady Chargers got on the board early and tallied three goals in the first seven minutes of the match on goals from Emma Mae Dixon, Mack Arendall and Regan Alt. Addison Huber and Dixon had assists on two of those goals.
