The Boerne Champion girls soccer team couldn’t get its offense going last Friday on the road at Pieper and was defeated by the Lady Warriors.
Pieper shut out the Lady Chargers, 4-0, and drops Champion to 2-2-1 in district and 4-7-1 overall. The Chargers were home Tuesday to host Smithson Valley and will be at Seguin Friday.
It’s the second time in district play that Champion has been kept off the board and it has accounted for both their losses in 26-5A. They also couldn’t find the back of the net against NB Canyon on Feb. 3.
Champion did have 11 shots on the night, with 9 on goal, but didn’t convert any of its opportunities. Pieper managed 22 shots, with 19 on goal and had 4 corners, while the Chargers had 3 corners.
