Boerne High opened district action Friday night in boys soccer at Fredericksburg and finished off the Battlin’ Billies, 4-1.
The Greyhounds improved to 11-3-2 overall and start league play at 1-0. They are scheduled to be at home Thursday against Davenport for their first home match of the year.
In last Friday’s match at Fredericksburg, Jess Gonzales had the team’s first goal and then Shae Gonzales added Boerne’s second goal on the Joe Ballenger assist.
It was brother to brother for Boerne’s third goal as Shae Gonzales knocked one in on the Jess Gonzales assist.
From there, the Greyhounds closed out their scoring with a goal from Fernando Palacios on the assist from Jake Herman.
