The Comfort girls hoops team started the second round of District 5-3A play action Tuesday in Brady and got beat, 66-22.
Comfort slips to 13-17 overall and 2-4 in district play. They hosted Llano on Friday.
Brady had a strong start to Tuesday’s game and jumped out to a 19-2 lead over the Deer by the end of the first quarter.
Comfort played better in the second but they were still outscored 16-6 for the 35-8 halftime advantage.
It was pretty much the same thing the rest of the way as Brady outscored the Deer in the third, 16-8, and 15-6 in the fourth to win the second half, 31-14.
No Comfort player was in double digits but Bailey Feldman came close and tallied 9 points, while Meghan Davis had 5, Lula Jaime scored 3, Katelyn Cook hit for 2 and Jael Hernandez, Danielle Ruelas and Emily Rivera all chipped in with a point.
David collected 11 rebounds and Hernandez came up with 3 steals and 3 assists.
