Boerne Champion split its last two district games after they beat Kyle Lehman and fell to Veterans Memorial last week.

The Chargers are 23-6 overall and 10-2 in district with four 26-5A games left and are still battling for the district title. Champion visits Seguin Tuesday.

Vs. Lehman

Champion defeated Lehman Friday in Boerne, 69-23 to leave the Lobos winless in district this season.

The Chargers were up 14-3 after one and then outscored the Lobos 22-6 in the second for the 36-9 halftime lead.

In the second half, Champion outscored Lehman, 33-14, to close it out.

Jesse Peart led the Chargers with 17 points and had a couple of dunks, Braxton Burdick added 14, Braden Baum and Ryan Erdos both netted 10 and Owen Tate scored 9, while Jackson Marshall tallied 6 and Luke Garver finished with 3.

Vs. Veterans Memorial

The Patriots completed the season sweep of the Chargers last Tuesday after they won, 63-58.

Jesse Peart again paced the squad with 19 points and Braden Baum added 18 points. Charlie Georgelos finished with 9, Ryan Erdos netted 6, Braxton Burdick scored 5 and Owen Tate hit a couple of free throws for 2 points.
