The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team breezed past TMI – Episcopal last Friday, 53-9.

Geneva maintains its perfect district record and is 12-0 in league play and 22-1 overall. They are scheduled to play at Providence next.

The Eagles were up 20-0 in the first quarter and outscored the Lady Panthers in the second, 13-2, for the 33-2 halftime advantage.

Geneva won the third period, 17-7, for the 50-7 lead as the game went to the fourth. It was slow for both teams in the final stanza but the Eagles won it, 3-0.

A total of 13 Eagles took a shot on Friday and 7 of them scored.

Alexa Elizondo paced the team with 16 points, Maegan Riebel netted 10, Chloe Donnell scored 9, Micah Howard finished with 8, Hailey Kirchner had 4, Kyra Petty hit for 3 and Morgan Howard tallied 2 points.

Elizondo also led the Eagles in two other categories after she snagged a team-high 5 rebounds and 5 steals, while Sydney Griffey came up with 2 assists.
