Five teenagers were behind bars Monday morning after an apparent stolen getaway vehicle failed its mission and the driver crashed into the rear passenger side of a patrol vehicle.
Information from the Boerne Police Department indicates a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old and three 17-year-olds were arrested after more than a dozen vehicles were burglarized in the early hours Monday morning.
The first call came into BPD early Monday when a Woods of Frederick Creek resident notified officers he had personal security footage of individuals breaking into his vehicle. In all, the teenagers are suspected to have burglarized at least a dozen vehicles and illegally gained access to one resident’s garage via a garage door opener in one of the accessed vehicles, BPD information stated.
