Boerne boys do it again

GEORGETOWN – Good Friday turned into a great Friday for the Boerne High School boys soccer team after the Greyhounds defended its 4A state title at Birkelbach Field. Boerne defeated Celina in the championship game in overtime, 2-1, to claim back-to-back 4A titles.

Liar's contest

The Patrick Heath Public Library played host to its annual Kendall County Liar’s Contest Thursday night at the amphitheater. There, six individuals told their best whoppers and were judged by a celebrity panel. The lone local contestant was Robert Johnson of Fair Oaks Ranch, above left, who did not end up in the top three. The winner was Donna Ingham of Spicewood, above right, a repeat champion from years past.

Boerne man dies in I-10 crash
