Delivering the celebration’s keynote address to more than 300 attendees, the Governor highlighted the strong connection between Texas and Israel and ways the State of Texas continues to stand with the people of Israel.

Two new Boerne ISD principals named
The Boerne Independent School District has named new Principals at two elementary campuses. Current Curington Elementary Principal Matt Myers will serve as Principal of Elementary School #8, while Talia Hernandez will replace Myers as Curington Principal. The appointments were approved at the Boerne ISD Board of Trustees meeting on May 15th. Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price stated, “This is an exciting time for Boerne ISD to welcome extraordinary Principals to Elementary #8 and Curington. Matt and Talia are exemplary leaders and will have a positive impact on their new campuses. We look forward to watching Curington and our newest elementary school thrive in the future.” Mr. Myers has served as the Principal at Curington since 2019. He previously served as an Assistant Principal at Boerne Middle School South (2016-2019) and Kendall Elementary (2011-2015). Prior to becoming an administrator, he taught 4th and 6th grade at Schanen Estates Elementary in Corpus Christi and Kendall Elementary in BISD, respectively.
