On June 12, 1948, President Harry Truman signed into law the Women’s Armed Forces Integration Act allowing women to serve as regular members of the military.

While the countywide transportation committee tasked with solving local traffic woes unanimously approved a policy statement last month, a couple of policy oversights were identified during last week’s meeting.

It appears there will be no Berges Fest or any kind of similar celebration on Father’s Day weekend this year.

Boerne police officer Cpl. Cheyenne Weber, who fatally shot 41-year-old Brandon Cruz in February, will not face any criminal charges in Kendall County after the grand jury met earlier this month and opted not to move forward in the case.

Cibolo Summer Camp started this week as youngsters participated in a variety of games and activities at the nature center to learn more about nature and its surroundings.
