The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce is comprised of all different types of businesses, but many may not know that we have more than 130 nonprofit members. These members do so much to enrich and serve our community, and we are looking forward to celebrating them in August.

With no end in sight for the development boom hitting Boerne and Kendall County, a countywide water committee is looking to long-term supply solutions, including controversial Edwards Aquifer water.

The New Buddy Holly Band entertained a couple of hundred enthusiastic fans during last Thursday’s Live! At the Library concert at the Patrick Heath Public Library Amphitheater. The band played original Buddy Holly songs as well as other hits from yesteryear.

LAW ENFORCEMENT

Members of the Boerne City Council approved another amendment to the seemingly ever-controversial Boernebak, or Corley Farms, development, reducing the overall lot count by nine. But the move is a drop in the bucket in the way of more than the 1,100-home and the expansive commercial and multi-family development.

A San Antonio development group is looking to place 10 to 12 homes on a 2-acre lot behind Kinderpark that abuts both Bess Street and Highland Drive at 116 Bess St.
