LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT
June 17
7:01 a.m., 101 Herff Rd.- A 2017 Ford F-150 was reported stolen from The Bevy Hotel. man refused to leave the Burger King drive through until he spoke to his ex-girlfriend who worked there. Officers looked him up and found he had an alert on his name for being armed, dangerous and a threat to law enforcement. He showed back up at the restaurant around 3 p.m. and began circling the building and area with another man.
10:43 a.m., 101 Herff Rd.- A man reported his vehicle window was smashed and had been broken into at The Bevy Hotel. However, he said nothing was missing and needed to leave, so he asked officers not to show up.
7:15 p.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- Someone drove off without paying for gas at the H-E-B fuel station.
7:52 p.m., 31200 block I-10 W.- A woman initially reported her white Range Rover had been stolen. Her husband had taken it as a prank. However, dispatchers noted the woman sounded drunk.
9:03 a.m., 1327 S. Main St.- A
10:56 p.m., 825 Johns Rd.- A woman was suspicious of two kids on bikes who were using their cell phone flashlights to look around. She felt they were “up to no good.”
June 18
12:05 a.m., 621 W. Bandera Rd.- A group of about six teenagers were parked behind Whataburger drinking. One of the juveniles left before officers arrived and crashed into a curb on the way out. Officers located the kids on Sisterdale Road.
3:51 p.m., 1381 S. Main St.- A man’s truck was broken into in the Walmart parking lot, and a 9 mm pistol, 22 mag rifle and crossbow were stolen. The subject broke a window to gain entry to the truck.
3:57 p.m., 1490 S. Main St.- Another person’s vehicle was broken into but at Billy’s Western Wear. The subject in this break in also broke a window to gain access.
10:16 p.m., 1000 Diamond- A group of teenagers were hanging out at the pool after hours and being noisy.
10:41 p.m., Herff Road and Oak Park- A woman was arrested during a traffic stop.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
June 17
7:48 a.m., 1900 block FM 1376- A woman reported her 46-year-old son hit her with his hand a bowl while he was high on drugs. Deputies took the man into custody.
10:32 a.m., 537 MM I-10 E.- Three 18-wheeler drivers were mad about each other’s driving. They all pulled over but never confronted each other.
2:03 p.m., 2600 block FM 473- A woman said a handgun was stolen out of her purse, but she hadn’t a clue as to when it happened.
8:41 p.m., 10 block Old No. 9- A woman caught two kittens in a trap and sought animal control assistance.
9:21 p.m., 1 FM 3351 S. #100- An employee at Bergheim Pizza Company was concerned, speculating an older man with a child was drunk. The man was found to be elderly and had Parkinson’s Disease.
June 18
12:59 a.m., Hope Road- A woman reported her husband was threatening her if she pressed charges for a previous altercation, adding he said, “If you have us charged, you will not live through this.”
1:47 a.m., 100 block July Lane- A man witnessed an altercation between a man and woman, with the man chasing the woman causing her to cross the highway on foot.
7:50 a.m., 30 block Hwy 87 N.- A man said he heard what sounded like exotic animals in the area before demonstrating different animal calls for dispatchers and crying. A rant ensued about previous drug use and God wanting him to find a woman to date and give flowers.
6:34 p.m., 900 block N. Main St.- A head-on collision occurred. Both vehicles had to be towed away, but no serious injuries were reported.
7:51 p.m., Waring Welfare and Cravey roads- A man struck a fence and left his vehicle blocking the roadway, walking toward Cravey Road with a cut on his shoulder. First responders worked to clear the road blockage that was causing traffic backup and attempted to locate t h e driver.
