COMFORT - The Comfort Bobcats hosted Bandera for homecoming and jumped out to a 13-0 lead but the Bulldogs had a strong finish and went on to win the game 35-29. The Bulldogs scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to erase a 29-21 Comfort lead.
Comfort is 2-3 overall and is off this Friday. The Bobcats open district play at home on Oct. 18 against Rogers.
Geneva School of Boerne
The Eagles visited No. 1 state-ranked Holy Cross and were defeated by the Knights, 61-7.
Geneva is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in district. They have short week and play at New Braunfels Christian Academy Thursday as they continue league play.
Boerne ISD
Both Boerne ISD football teams were off Friday and resume district play this coming Friday.
Boerne Champion is at New Braunfels and stands at 0-2 in district heading into that game, so they need a win.
Boerne High hosts Harlandale and is 0-1 in district after they dropped their league opener to state-ranked Alamo Heights.
