A familiar face has assumed the role of head volleyball coach at Geneva School of Boerne.
Tami Owens, formerly head volleyball coach at Geneva, takes the reins for the 2024 season.
Owens will be the third head coach in three seasons for the Eagles.
Owens helped start the volleyball program before the start of the 2005-06 school year, and once they moved into TAPPS at the high school level, she led the team for four seasons.
Included in those four seasons were two TAPPS state championships at the 1A level during the fall of 2010 and 2011. The Eagles finished as state runners-up in the fall of 2009.
She stepped down as head coach after the 2011 season but has stayed involved in various roles between the middle school and high school teams and has never left the program.
