Boerne Majors All-Star team one win away from playing in Little League World Series

The Boerne Little League Majors All-Star team (ages 10-12) – or the Texas West State Champions – were one win away from playing at this year’s Little League World Series.

Boerne won Sunday’s United States Southwest Region Tournament game that was televised nationally on ESPN against Louisiana, 4-1, in the undefeated bracket contest.

Boerne advanced to the championship game based on Sunday’s win. They sat out Monday, while Louisiana and East Texas played in the elimination game for the right to play Boerne.

Louisiana won Monday’s game, 6-5, so they’ll tangle with Boerne once again, this time Tuesday in Waco on ESPN. It was a winner-takeall championship game.
