LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff ’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. SEPTEMBER 27

1:08 a.m., 100 block of Regent Boulevard – A laser strike was reported three miles north of Boerne airfield. An airplane reported aircraft in the area.

2:31 a.m., 100 block of Gage Drive – A caller reported someone ringing her doorbell nonstop, despite her not expecting anyone. Law enforcement came to the scene and discovered it was someone who had arrived to surprise the caller.

12:46 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported a phone was stolen.

2:50 p.m., River Road/Esser Road – Law enforcement received notification a stolen vehicle may be traveling in Boerne.

3:36 p.m., 1000 block of N. Main Street – A caller reported she had parked a vehicle she was selling in a certain parking area, and it had been stolen. The caller added she had seen the vehicle there 24 hours earlier.

SEPTEMBER 28

7:28 a.m., mile marker 537, E. I-10 – An 18-wheeler rollover accident was reported. Luckily the occupant only suffered minor injuries. A lane of the interstate temporarily was closed while the accident was cleaned up. TxDOT came to the scene to set up barricades.

8: 49 a. m., 700 block of N. School Street – A caller reported vandalism on benches at the cemetery.

9:10 a.m., 30000 block of W. I-10 – A caller requested assistance dealing with his former employer when picking up a paycheck.

2:05 p.m., 100 block of Becker Street – A caller reported her vehicle had been stolen and the incident was reported in Bexar County; however, the vehicle was found in Boerne. Law enforcement located the vehicle and returned it to the caller.

3:18 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A subject came into the Boerne PD lobby to report a sexual assault.

3:42 p.m., 100 block of Bluebonnet Circle – A disgruntled caller was complaining that her neighbors complain about her too much.

4:14 p.m., 1500 block of River Road– Law enforcement pulled over a vehicle with a fake license plate. The driver was detained, and the vehicle was released to an eligible driver.

SEPTEMBER 29

8:25 a.m., 100 block of City Park – A caller was concerned regarding an employment situation. The caller said a company was firing an employee in response to the employee making claims of harassment. The caller explained she had worked there as well.

10:42 a.m., 300 block of Schweppe Street – A caller was worried about a male walking toward her who appeared to be wearing a Halloween mask. The caller added her concerned that the male was on drugs. Law enforcement found no criminal activity.

1:57 p.m., 1600 block River Road – An employee reported an individual drinking an alcoholic beverage as he was going through the location drive-thru. The caller provided information regarding where the caller went.

2:28 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – Two juvenile males were reported to be involved in a physical fight. Eventually, they were separated but EMS was required for sustained injuries.

3:24 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – An employee reported that almost $70,000 had been stolen.

SEPTEMBER 30

12:34 a.m., 1500 block of S. Main Street – A security officer reported a suspicious vehicle backed into a shopping center parking lot. The security officer explained they could not tell if the vehicle was occupied but it appeared that an interior light was on. Law enforcement found the vehicle was unoccupied.

9:18 a.m., 200 block of W Bandera Road – A caller reported his wife contacted him and said she was being followed and harassed.

10:53 a.m., 100 block of Cibolo Creek Drive – A caller reported that his vehicle had been stolen. Debris from the vehicle was found near the complexes’ mailboxes.

2:11 p.m., 300 block of River Road – A caller was concerned about a male placing beer cans at the base of trees by the River Road Park. The cans were found to be empty and were thrown away.

3:00 p.m., 1100 block River Road – A caller reported his money and wallet had been stolen.

OCTOBER 1

6:51 a.m., 100 block of Herff Ranch Road – A caller reported two minor males were driving under the influence.

10:45 a.m. 200 block of Cibolo Branch Drive – A caller reported someone had attempted to open her mailbox.

11:25 a.m., on Main Plaza – A caller reported two people walking two respective dogs that were not on leashes. The caller was concerned after the pets’ owners said they couldn’t guarantee their dogs would not bite other dogs.

11:33 a.m., 100 block of Hampton Cove – A caller reported a vehicle had been parked on the side of his house for over a month. The caller provided dispatch with the license plate number.

8:58 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller reported that her son’s “friends” were at their residence last night, taking pictures of the outside and sending threatening text messages.

OCTOBER 2

8:55 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road – A caller reported a vehicle driving around the apartment complex hit and damaged two other cars.

9:40 a.m., 1600 block of River Road – A caller reported someone was illegally dumping garbage in their dumpster.

12:28 p.m., 300 block of River Road– A caller reported a male who was sleeping on the sidewalk.

3:33 p.m., 100 block of W. Blanco Road – An employee reported a hotel guest, who the employee suspected was a convicted sex offender, has assumed a false identity and gotten a room at the hotel.

6:06 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported a suspicious vehicle with a male occupant who was begging for money. The caller was additionally concerned because the male had a child with him. The caller speculated the vehicle had a false license plate.

6:41 p.m., 1200 block of S Main Street – A caller reported a customer had left without paying their $120 bill.

OCTOBER 03

8:56 a.m., 500 block of Adler Road – An employee reported graffiti vandalism in the restroom. The employee added that it appeared to be fresh.

4:09 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported two individuals had walked out of the store shoplifting in prior days.

4:16 p.m., 1400 block of S. Main Street – An individual came into the Boerne PD lobby to report a stolen phone.

5:37 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – An employee reported receiving threats of physical violence from a manager at the location.

9:58 p.m., 100 block of Saddle Club Circle – A caller reported hearing five gunshots in the minute prior to calling. It sounded as though it was close. The caller told dispatch that other neighbors had stepped out of their houses to examine the situation.

SEPTEMBER 27

5:09 a.m., 300 block of N. Highway 87 – A single vehicle accident occurred. The initial caller reported he needed an ambulance. A second caller reported the vehicle was on its side, off the road. Medical helicopter services were attempted but unsuccessful due to the weather. An ambulance was called for the driver.

11:15 a.m., 100 block of Scenic Loop Road – A caller reported his skid steer loader was stolen several weeks prior. The caller said he thought someone else had called authorities, hence the delay in reporting.

1:16 p.m., mile marker 527 W. I-10 – A bicyclist reported he was hit by someone driving a work truck. He was not injured but still wanted the incident documented.

3:08 p.m., 1200 block of S. Main Street – During a routine traffic stop, one of the subjects was placed at gunpoint and then two subjects were detained.

3:47 p.m., 100 block of Wood Glen – A caller reported items missing from her house after she had people making repairs to her house.

4:22 p.m., 6600 block of FM 1888 – A caller reported eight of her sheep were missing from her property. The caller suspected someone stole them. The fence was not damaged but there was a gap that the sheep may have been taken through.

SEPTEMBER 29

4:54 a.m., 200 block of W. Apacheria Pass – A caller reported he could see and hear people on his property. Someone went as far as to tap on the caller’s window. The caller said the two males were also at the property across the street, looking at their property.

7:44 a.m., 100 block of Wollschlaeger Drive – A caller reported he needed assistance with a trapped cat.

10:49 a.m., 100 block of N Stonegate Road – Ten cows decided to go for a Sunday morning stroll.

4:29 p.m., 900 block of N. Highway 87 – A caller reported two fires near the Kendall County line. The fires were reported to be around 30 feet apart. Comfort FD was called to the scene and handled the situation.

10:46 p.m., 2300 block of FM 473 – A vehicle hit a deer, injuring two of the vehicle’s occupants. One of the occupants suspected her leg was broken. Medical services were called to the scene. A wrecker was called for the vehicle.

11:02 p.m., 1600 block of Cordillera Trace – A caller reported hearing two gunshots when he arrived home, then a brief pause before three more gunshots followed.

SEPTEMBER 30

7:14 a.m., 100 block of Dove Crest Drive – A caller reported a female who was attempting to jump over the caller’s fence. The caller was on the way to his residence; it was a neighbor who had informed him. The female required medical attention and EMS services were provided.

8:53 a.m., 1600 block of River Road – Two vehicles were involved in an accident. EMS was called to the scene in addition to two wreckers. The road was temporarily closed as the situation was handled.

1:16 p.m., 39000 block of W I-10 – A caller who had previously reported his trailer stolen, reported seeing the vehicle that stole it. Law enforcement was able to locate the vehicle.

2:09 p.m., 100 block of Timber Trail – A concerned resident reported a vehicle parked on the side of the road. Law enforcement made contact with the driver who explained he was in town visiting family and stopped for a quick nap.

OCTOBER 1

12:00 a.m., 200 block of Sixth Street – A caller reported she was woken up by someone banging on her front door. The caller was concerned because she was not expecting anyone, especially at that time of night. Law enforcement came to the location and did not find anyone outside.

8:08 a.m., 200 block of Crabapple Road – Three cows were on a mission to escape the heat and began heading north.

9:43 a.m., 300 block of W. Highway 46 – A female was taken into custody after being in a vehicle accident. A wrecker was called for the vehicle. EMS was called for injuries sustained from airbag deployment. After the female received medical attention, she was released.

5:37 p.m., 100 block of N. FM 3351 – A caller was concerned about a raccoon that showed up on her back porch. She explained the raccoon was acting odd, dragging its back legs. The caller suspected it may have rabies.

6:31 p.m., 100 block of Mariposa Parkway – A caller reported finding a bucket of bird bones on a walking trail.

OCTOBER 2

4:20 a.m., 200 block of W. Apacheria Pass – A male was reported to be at a location he was not supposed to be. The caller said the male had broken into the property last week. While the caller was speaking with dispatch, the male was driving up and down the road in front of the residence, throwing rocks.

7:45 a.m., on Winged Foot – A caller requested assistance with a trapped raccoon.

12:56 p.m., 39000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported they were given a large check that had later bounced.

3:52 p.m., 100 block of Country Meadows Drive – A caller reported that someone had stolen his bull. There were no signs of damage to the caller’s property. The caller had reached out to neighbors in an attempt to locate it.

7:22 p.m., 100 block of N. Wagon Wheel Drive – A caller reported that a worker had taken $300 from the caller’s father and then left. The worker was located and taken into custody.

OCTOBER 03

1:08 a.m., Main Street/River Road – A driver was pulled over after running a red light and throwing something out of his vehicle onto the road. The driver was stopped, and law enforcement discovered it was a bag of marijuana that had been thrown out. A second bag was located in the vehicle. The male was detained.

7:14 a.m., on Upper Balcones Road at Dodge Road – A caller reported that a sign promoting an event was vandalized with inappropriate drawings. The caller was concerned the drawings may be gang related.

10:32 a.m., on Red Bird Lane – In the spirit of Halloween, a black cat was reported to be running around the side of the interstate.

12:50 p.m., 100 block of Horseshoe Bend – A caller reported she had fallen victim to a scam involving purchasing land overseas, to the tune of $100,000.
