LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT

SEPTEMBER 20

11:23 a.m., 1300 block of S. Main St. – A caller reported a customer left without paying for services. In a surprising turn of events, the employee called back an hour later to say the customer returned and paid for the provided services.

12:20 p.m., 500 block of Ogrady St. – A resident came into the Boerne PD lobby to report her daughter was being harassed.

12:57 p.m., 300 block of N. Main St. – A caller reported a lizard had been stolen from their store. The location caught the incident on video. Several hours later, the lizard was returned to the store.

3:51 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main St. – An employee reported a male in the bathroom was huffing paint. The employee kept track of the individual and provided his location to law enforcement.

9:44 p.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported a male had passed out on the side of Home Depot. Based on the can in the male’s hand, he was huffing chemicals. The caller informed dispatch the male had been kicked out of the store earlier in the day after passing out in the store. As the caller was speaking with dispatch, the male gained consciousness and continued huffing paint. The male was detained, and an ambulance was called.

SEPTEMBER 21

12:02 a.m., 100 block of W. Blanco St. – An employee reported an odd-acting male. The male came into the location with a female’s identification cards and reserved a room. Then, the male walked out of the location and said he needed a different method of payment and did not return.

9:07 a.m., 300 block of Herff Ranch – A father was concerned about his child’s access to drinking water on a school field trip.

10:32 a.m., on Rosewood/Greenfield St. – A caller reported an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in the middle of the road. The caller said they had almost rear-ended the vehicle.

10:52 a.m., on Michelle/Jordan Place – Someone with the HOA requested assistance in moving a trailer parked at the intersection for about a month. The trailer did not have a license plate on it, and no one knew who it belonged to.

12:23 p.m., Bandera Road/I-10 – A driver reported six or seven people dancing in the road, asking for donations. The dancers were going in between vehicles, creating a traffic hazard.

SEPTEMBER 22

8:25 a.m., 200 block of Cibolo Branch Drive – A caller reported hearing a gunshot in the area. The caller gave dispatch the suspected location. Law enforcement investigated and found a transformer had blown.

1:57 p.m., 100 block of W. Hampton Run – A resident came in to report an instance of identity theft.

6:53 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A concerned caller reported a dog was inside a vehicle with its windows cracked. Law enforcement located the vehicle and found the dog was OK.

SEPTEMBER 23

3:33 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – An employee reported a male had trespassed and stolen soda from the location. The caller explained they reported the individual for trespassing earlier in the week too.

4:05 a.m., 100 block of S. Saunders St. – A caller reported a vehicle that had“thumping”music coming from it, but then went silent. The caller added the vehicle had been idling for around 15 minutes.

8:17 a.m., 1300 block of S. Main St. – A store manager reported two people sleeping on the property without permission. One of the individuals was sleeping in a vehicle, the other was on the ground next to the vehicle.

12:38 p.m., 100 block of Shade Tree Road – A caller reported San Antonio PD had contacted her and told her to contact a police department in California because she had been accused of stealing.

5:15 p.m., Old San Antonio Road/ Herff Road – SiriusXM reported a vehicle accident. Two wreckers were needed for the vehicles. Luckily, the only injuries sustained were from the seat belts.

6:02 p.m., 100 block of Shade Tree Road – A caller reported a male had come in and made a mess. The male did not have any weapons but refused to leave when the caller asked.

7:09 p.m., River Road/Esser Road – Law enforcement was notified of a stolen vehicle passing through the intersection. Law enforcement began looking for the vehicle.

SEPTEMBER 24

2:23 a.m., 100 block of Winding River – A caller reported a group of four to five teenagers were being loud and drinking alcohol.

2:44 a.m., 29000 block of Ralph Fair Road – An Uber driver reported an unruly passenger. The passenger was cursing at the driver, accusing the driver of inappropriately touching him. Law enforcement responded and the male was taken into custody for public intoxication.

11:07 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – An employee reported someone had stolen wine the prior evening from the store.

3:14 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – An employee reported an individual who was not allowed at the location.

4:01 p.m., 300 block of River Road – During a traffic stop, a driver was taken into custody for being intoxicated. The vehicle was towed away.

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEPTEMBER 20

1:37 a.m., 1200 block of FM 2771 – A male and female were detained following a K9 alert. A probable cause search ensued, and the male and female were transported to jail.

7:50 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road – A caller reported a vehicle had been stolen from Kerr County.

9:49 a.m., on Voss Parkway – A mother reported her son had been assaulted at school.

10:11 a.m., on Green Cedar Road – An employee reported providing almost $2,000 worth of services to a company that had not paid the bill. The employee explained he had been going back and forth with the company; however, they had yet to pay.

12:28 p.m., on Green Cedar Road – A caller reported his office had been broken into. He noted to dispatch that he suspected it occurred the prior evening.

6:02 p.m., on Bradley Road – A caller who had animal control pick up a stray cat, discovered that the cat had kittens.

SEPTEMBER 21

7:42 a.m., 100 block of Wollschlaeger Drive – A caller reported two trapped raccoons at his residence.

9:38 a.m., 600 block of Oak Park Drive – A caller reported a refrigerator was emitting smoke. Although there were no reported flames, it still smelled like it was burning. Boerne FD responded and found the bottom of the fridge was burned.

12:37 p.m., on N. Highway 87 – A caller reported a male repeatedly parked in the location’s parking lot, playing his music very loudly. The caller explained he had asked the male to leave but he would return after two to three days. Law enforcement asked the male not to return and the male agreed.

1:39 p.m., 600 block of FM 473 – A caller reported someone impersonating a KSCO detective called her regarding her son, who was in jail. The scammer had requested money and the caller said she had paid them from her bank account.

2:34 p.m., 11300 block of FM 1888 – A caller reported a substantial amount of mail had been dumped on the side of the road.

SEPTEMBER 22

6:05 a.m., 100 block of Sage Oaks Trail – A caller reported witnessing a cat being shot in her backyard. The caller requested law enforcement to come out and check out the situation.

8:40 a.m., 400 block of W. Highway 46 – A caller reported an occupied SUV parked on the side of the road for four days. Law enforcement located the vehicle’s owner and found he was parked on private property and conducting a job on the property.

9:49 a.m., on River Bend Road – A male reported finding a skeletal bone on his property. Law enforcement took possession of the bone.

12:32 p.m., 500 block of FM 289 – A caller reported a vehicle hit a mailbox as a result of the driver blacking out behind the wheel. An ambulance was called for the driver.

7:25 p.m., on Dodge Road – A caller reported a large fire, accompanied by a large amount of smoke. The caller explained his girlfriend flicked a cigarette butt on their burn pile, igniting it. Boerne FD was called to the scene and extinguished the fire.

7:37 p.m., 100 block of FM 474 – A baby cow who had gotten out looking for a fun Friday night was quickly caught and brought back home.

SEPTEMBER 23

1:57 a.m., 32000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle with a flat tire was partially in the grass. Law enforcement arrived and detained an individual. The caller also reported a vehicle was driving in the center median, going the wrong direction. Law enforcement located the second vehicle, and a blood warrant was sought.

9:09 a.m., on Doeskin Drive – A caller was concerned about receiving texts involving a package being delivered. She explained she was concerned because she was not expecting any packages, but the text messages were inquiring about her address.

9:52 a.m., on Acker Road – A caller reported that his dog had run away, and his wife had chased after the dog. The caller then reported hearing a single gunshot and was worried there may be someone on the property. Luckily, around 10 minutes later, the caller’s wife and dog returned home.

5:06 p.m., at Hosack St./Main St. – A two-vehicle accident occurred. There were no injuries, but air bags were deployed in both vehicles. The road was temporarily blocked as a result of the damage to one of the vehicles. A tow truck was called.

6:52 p.m., 100 block of Oak Meadow Lane – A caller reported receiving threatening text messages. The text messages involved asking the caller for money and stating they wished the caller was dead.

6:54 p.m., FM 473/Shepherds Creek Drive – Animal control helped a baby goat and its mom return back home.

SEPTEMBER 24

8:54 a.m., 100 block of Red Bird Lane – A black cow had gotten out, hoping to find a good Sunday brunch.

9:20 a.m., on Oak Trail – A caller reported they caught a skunk in their trap.

9:38 a.m., 200 block of Wengenroth Road – A caller reported he was walking his dog when he heard gunshots and bullets go over his head. The caller provided the address he suspected the two shots came from.

3:18 p.m., 700 block of FM 473 – A single vehicle rollover accident occurred. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and walk around. An ambulance was called to the scene. A tow truck was called for the vehicle.

6:24 p.m., 600 block of Fifth St. – A caller reported a physical assault had occurred the prior night.
