Boerne High slipped to 1-3 in district play after the Lady Greyhound volleyball team dropped a tough five-set match at Navarro last Friday night.

BHS lost its first two games, but rallied to win the next two, only to fall in the fifth set.

The Lady Panthers held on for the 25-18, 25-16, 23-25, 25-27, 15-7 victory.

Boerne drops to 17-14 overall and 1-3 in district. The Lady Greyhounds were at Canyon Lake Tuesday and host Fredericksburg Friday to close out the first round and likely need to win both matches this week to stay in playoff contention.

Haley Wheeler and Ava Rocchio both served up 4 aces, Rocchio added 18 kills, Aubree Stegall had 8 kills, Paige Stegall chipped in with 7 kills, Calynn Ramos tallied 6 kills and Kynsie Jones recorded 5 kills.

Rocchio came up with 4 blocks, Aubree Stegall finished with 2 blocks, Ramos registered 33 assists, Morgan Naylor totaled 7 assists, Adyson Hudson led the team in digs with 26, Wheeler had 10 digs, Rocchio added 8 digs and Jones came up with 6 digs, while Aubree Stegall and Kinsley Sawyer both came up with 5 digs.
