Explore our fenced gardens, pollinator meadow, and trails, and see the historic limestone Herff House. More information available at www.cibolo.org Art in Conservation: Watercolor Class, Herff Farm, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join artist Rebecca Burritt in watercolor class where you learn to paint with the practice of the basic techniques; glazing, wetin- wet, dry brush and more. Registration is preferred, beginners are welcome and recommended age is 12 and up. Registration and more information are available at www.cibolo.org Old Jail Museum Tours, The Old Jail Museum, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tour the Old Jail Museum and enjoy its unique exhibits! Tickets are $5 for adults, and children under 10, veterans and law enforcement are free! Hot Summer Night Antique Tractor Pull, The Agricultural Museum and Arts Center, 6 p.m. The Boerne Agri-Cultural Museum and Arts Center is hosting their summer antique tractor pull event. Come out and watch antique tractors from around Texas as they compete to pull the heaviest weight the furthest distance. Free to attend!

Summer Camp at the Cibolo!, Cibolo Nature Center, Hosted from July 24 to July 28. Join us for Quest at the Cibolo! Campers will explore the world of the nature at Nature Camp, Art Camp, or Culinary Camp. All activities will be held at the Cibolo Nature Center and Herff Farm where kids will have a chance to explore our 160+ acres.

Ribbon Cutting at Cutie Patootie, 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Join us for a ribbon cutting celebrating Cutie Patootie! They will be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the new owners! Cutie Patootie has a 17-year legacy of providing high quality, gently used children’s clothing, toys and accessories to the families in Boerne. The team focuses on providing high quality, inspected inventory, creating a sustainable economy by reducing waste, and supporting their local Boerne families!

Art Beyond the Crayons – Session 2, Boerne YMCA, 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Art Beyond The Crayons is a mixed-media art class designed to allow children to work with a variety of mediums as well as give each child the opportunity to express themselves through art! $25 for members, $55 for non-member and an additional supply fee Healthcare Connections Monthly Meeting, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The mission of the luncheon is to foster business and professional development relationships through regular meetings for the purpose of improving patient care while supporting community partners in healthcare. Gain a better understanding of Texas Hill Country hydrology! Visit the Herff spring and trace its beginnings through the Cibolo Prairie to the confluence of Cibolo Creek. Learn how to manage water flow through your property while promoting wildland diversity. $10 to attend. Intended for 18 years and older.

Ribbon Cutting for Branches and More, Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join a ribbon cutting celebrating Branches and More! Drawing Club, PHPL Conference Room, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Drawing Club meets in the library’s conference room each Thursday at 1:30 p.m. This is not a drawing class, but a group of people that get together to hone their own drawing skills.

Active Movement, PHPL Community Room, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join LaVada Smith as she guides you through the ancient meditative, easy movement practice of Qi gong, each Friday morning at 10 a.m. in the community room. Dress comfortably, no special equipment or mats needed. This program is part of our Silver Library Initiative.

First Friday Yoga, PHPL Community Room, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join first Friday in the Community Room for Yoga facilitated by Janeen Castillo. If you don’t have your own yoga mat, there should be some available for you to use!

Kendall County Republican Club Meeting, Nelson City Dance Hall, 6 p.m. The Kendall County Republican Club is pleased to announce that our own Congressman from District 21, Rep. Chip Roy, will be the featured speaker at their next meeting. This will be “Summer Casual Night,” so dress cool and comfortably, enjoy dinner, and come to listen to and meet Rep. Roy.
