KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE July 19

7: 46 a. m., 523 MM W I- 10 – An adventurous boxer was attempting to cross the interstate during morning traffic. Law enforcement tried to help them out but were unable to locate the dog.

9:42 a.m., Old Comfort Rd – A caller reported fraudulent charges on her credit card.

11:57 a.m., 32000 Blk W I-10 – A caller reported a male who was walking in the area and had stopped to mess with a lock on a pedestrian gate. The caller explained that when asked what he was doing, the male muttered and stumbled around before walking away.

7:58 p.m., 400 Blk E Hwy 46 – A witness reported a hit and run accident. The caller reported seeing a van swer ve into oncoming traffic, hit an oncoming vehicle and then continue driving. The caller provided dispatch with the last location he saw the van go. The occupants in the vehicle that had been hit did not sustain any injuries.

8:13 p.m., 200 Blk Zoeller Lane – One woman’s Wednesday night plans went down the toilet when she called in to report a snake in hers!

July 20

4:26 a.m., 100 Blk Idlewilde Blvd – A caller reported an RV with a light on that was parked behind the caller’s house and was unsure who was the owner. The caller also noted to dispatch that right before she called, she heard an odd noise, explaining that it was similar to a chainsaw or weed whacker. The caller reported an hour later that she heard the noise again, accompanied by a kid screaming. Law enforcement came to the location and did not hear any odd noises.

9:05 a.m., 200 Blk Sunflower – A caller reported a toddler who was walking around by himself outside. A neighbor was able to contact the mother of the child who explained she hadn’t felt her child get out of bed that morning.

10:45 a.m., 33000 Blk W I-10 – A caller wanted to report their vehicle had been stolen in December 2022.

12:14 p.m., 100 Blk Monarca – A caller reported that while she was out of town for a week, someone had turned off her sprinkler system. The caller explained that now all her grass had died.

12:37 p.m., 100 Blk Woodland Ranch Rd – A caller reported that she had sent an individual money for a chicken coop she had found via social media. However, after she had sent the money, the individual did not give the caller the chicken coop and stopped accepting her calls.

July 21

3:20 a.m., N Hwy 87 – Law e n f o rcement with Kimble County requested assistance from Kendall County regarding a U-Haul truck. It was suspected that there was stolen goods or narcotics in the truck. Kendall County went to the suspected location and were unable to locate the vehicle.

7: 09 a. m., Deep Hollow/ Hwy 46 W – A caller reported a vehicle with the engine on fire. Boerne FD was contacted to extinguish the fire. Two people got out of the vehicle and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was later towed and gotten out of traffic.

9:02 a.m., 100 Blk Hunters View Circle – A caller reported a minivan with tinted windows that they found suspicious. The vehicle was reported to have dark- tinted windows and three males inside. The caller was concerned because they had never seen it in the area.

6:08 p.m., 600 Blk Esperanza – An employee reported an older male who was taking pictures of younger girls. The caller was able to get a partial license plate of the male’s vehicle.

10: 29 p. m., Hwy 27/ Pankratz Rd – A caller reported the strong smell of propane in the air. Comfort FD was contacted and came to the location. It appeared to be a pressure release issue with an energy company. A work order was put in for the matter.

11: 37 p. m., 300 Blk E Theissen – A caller reported a disturbance between a minor and an intoxicated male. Law enforcement quickly came to the scene. The male was having difficulty breathing and EMS was contacted.

July 22

4:15 a.m., 800 Blk FM 289 – A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in front of the location. The caller added that the vehicle was unoccupied and left unlocked.

8:13 a.m., 1000 Blk Johns Rd – A caller was concerned and reported a woman who was looking and leaning over the bridge. The caller suspected the woman was high or drunk. Law enforcement made contact with the woman and found she was walking to her mother’s house.

9:41 a.m., 30 Blk S FM 3351 – A single vehicle accident occurred. A caller reported a truck had lost control and hit a tree. The caller added that the driver was holding his head and experiencing chest pain. The driver was taken to the hospital and a tow truck was called for the vehicle.

11:57 a.m., FM 473/FM 1376 – A caller reported a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road with “Don’t Come Near” written on the back window. The caller also spotted a napkin with writing on it that was on the driver’s window. Law enforcement came to the location and found that the napkin explained the driver had gone to get gas.

3: 07 p. m., E Cleo Lane – A caller repor ted a fire had burned down their neighbor’s entire backyard and was getting close to the caller’s property. Boerne FD was called to the scene. At one point, three acres were burning. Another caller reported the spreading fires. The fire was extinguished, and citations were issued for violating the burn ban.

9:07 p.m., September Lane – A caller reported a woman who kept walking back- and- forth along the road. The caller estimated it had been 15-20 times. Law enforcement located the woman and found that everything was okay.

July 23

12: 38 a. m., 100 Blk Mark Twain – A caller reported that prior to calling, the male was in a physical altercation with the caller’s father. The caller added that the male was intoxicated and was now walking down the road. The male was located and found to be passed out. The male was detained and taken into custody.

1:42 a.m., 400 Blk Front St – A male and female were pulled over for a routine traffic stop. A probable cause search was conducted. The male was read his Miranda rights and was subsequently detained. The female was dropped off with her parents.

9:02 a.m., 100 Blk Treiber Lane – A caller reported that a l a rge amount o f m a i l had been thrown down the lane.

10:02 a.m., FM 3351/FM 473 – A caller reported that a goat had gotten its head stuck in the fence. Apparently, it was really desperate to get out for some Sunday brunch.

4:02 p.m., 1400 Blk E Blanco – A caller repor ted a male who was hanging out in the ally behind the businesses. Th e c a l l e r repor ted the male was going through trash and had attempted to open the back door. A second c a l l e r repor ted that a male was attempting to open their back door too.
