CELEBRATING THE ARTS
Jump into HCCArts immersion into Fine Arts instruction with Maren Phillips, and her Introduction to Watercolor, Monday, July 10, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; The Classroom at The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road, Boerne. Professional Artist and Instructor, Phillips will introduce participants to the wonderful, fluid art of watercolor.
Workshop members will learn about basic watercolor supplies, and the techniques and methods used by watercolorists. You can expect a Mini Workshop filled with demonstrations, personal instruction, and fun.
Maren has planned an interesting day filled with luscious color and loose watercolor effects using a still life set-up as the subject, but the paintings will reflect the brilliant colors and exciting brushwork as technique. Emphasis will be on finding depth of color and richness in your mixtures.
Mixing colors will be required! Color is the main “theme” in this still life instruction in watercolor; however, know that painting in an abstract expressive way is encouraged, but not required. The loose and exciting brushwork can reveal the subject without “drawing” it exactly.
Register today for Mini Workshop Summer Series--immersion into Fine Arts instruction.
Class size limited. HCCArts members $75, Non-members $85. Supplies included.
Mini workshops are designed to provide hands-on instruction in a medium or style of painting without a huge investment in equipment and supplies.
