The Boerne Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the 2023-24 employee compensation plan at Monday’s regular monthly meeting.
The approved compensation plan features a 3.44% pay increase for all positions in the district. Starting pay for a firstyear teacher will increase to $ 54,250. Teachers, nurses, and librarians will receive a minimum increase of $2,000 more per year as part of the annual step.
\\Auxiliary, Paraprofessional and Professional employees will also receive an increase of 3.44% of their pay grade midpoint.
In addition, the district will increase its contribution of TRS health insurance premiums for the 23-24 plan year. The district will contribute an additional $78,000 district-wide based on the employee plan election, bringing the district contribution range to $4,020 - $5,220 per year based on the employee’s specific coverage plan.
Overall, Boerne ISD increased the employee total compensation package by $2.44 million for the 2023- 2024 school year.
