LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT
January 10
1:55 a.m., 125 Crosspoint- A man wanted his apartment neighbor to stop screaming loudly while playing video games.
7:26 a.m., 1530 S. Main St.- A manager at Tractor Supply Company found the fence to the property was cut, but he wasn’t sure what was missing. He suspected it was a former employee who lives in the apartment complex behind the store.
10:17 a.m., 300 block Ebner- Sirius XM Radio operators tracked a stolen 2021 Dodge Ram for officers.
3:17 p.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- Officers confiscated drug paraphernalia at Boerne High School.
Officers also conducted 13 security checks, made nine traffic stops, assisted the public 15 times, removed a traffic hazard, served a warrant and worked two false alarms and two non-injury accidents.
January 11
12:56 p.m., 100 block Old San Antonio Rd.- Officers searched a vehicle occupied by three individuals during a traffic stop.
2:05 p.m., 540 MMI-10 W.- A man’s vehicle was rear ended by another driver who kept driving down the interstate at a high rate of speed.
3:40 p.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- An H-E-B employee coughed in front of a customer, so the customer became “very aggressive” with the employee and threatened to harm him or her.
6:45 p.m., 918 Adler Rd.- Someone was cleaning out a vehicle at KW Towing so the owner out of Indiana could pick it up, and they found a bag of what appeared to be crystal meth. The vehicle had been stolen from Indiana and recovered in Boerne.
Officers also conducted six security checks, made three traffic stops, assisted the public 12 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked three false alarms and three non-injury accidents.
January 12
5:52 a.m., 300 Herff Ranch- A custodian at Cibolo Creek Elementary called 911 to report a man in a trench coat and hat was walking around the school. He called to cancel officers as it was an employee who forgot their badge.
8:43 a.m., 37550 I-10 W.- A man was dropped off at the baseball fields and was running around the fields, which concerned a resident. The resident called back to cancel officers once he realized the man simply was exercising.
10:49 a.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- A student needed emergency services for the second day in a row after he or she passed out. The student hit their head over the winter break, but it was unclear what was causing the episodes.
3:48 p.m., 100 block Boulder Creek- A man reported he and his girlfriend’s son were having a physical disturbance because the son, who has autism, became upset about having to do the dishes.
Officers also conducted 14 security checks, made 20 traffic stops, assisted the public 16 times, removed a traffic hazard, served a warrant and worked one false alarm, eight non-injury accidents, one animal call and five reckless drivers.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
January 10
7:38 a.m., 29050 block Blueberry Dr.- Deputies attempted to serve a warrant. They contacted a woman through her Ring camera looking to serve a warrant. The woman said the wanted subject wasn’t there and hung up, avoiding any other contact with deputies. Law enforcement got ahold of the subject who spoke with her probation officer and said she would turn herself in.
10:50 a.m., 100 block Arboleda Circle- A man had questions for deputies about what kinds of weapons he could carry.
7:22 p.m., 200 block Greystone Circle- A woman reported seeing someone with a flashlight running up and down her driveway. She had a padlocked gate to her property, and nobody was supposed to be there.
Deputies also made 32 traffic stops, assisted the public nine times, removed two traffic hazards, served four warrants and worked one non-injury accident, three animal calls and three reckless drivers.
January 11
6:11 a.m., 533 MM I-10 W.- A Ford pickup truck fled from deputies during a traffic stop, heading toward Kerrville. A deputy set up vehicle-stopping spikes, which successfully stopped the fleeing vehicle. The driver fled on foot, running through a fence then a field.
9:07 a.m., 124 E. Bandera Rd.- An 80-year-old patient at Labcorp was found blue in the face on the ground of the bathroom, bleeding from the back of the head. The patient died.
1:56 p.m., 524 MM I-10 E.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop.
4:04 p.m., 4000 block Cypress Creek Road- Residents called 911 when they stopped a suspect wanted by deputies at gunpoint.
Deputies also made 19 traffic stops, assisted the public 12 times, served two warrants and worked one false alarm, three non-injury accidents and five animal calls.
January 12
5:40 p.m., 1000 block Johns Rd.- A man reported electrical boxes belonging to phone company were lying on the side of the road. He was able to shut the boxes but not lock them.
9:04 p.m., 100 block High St.- A woman reported hearing an automatic rifle being fired. She said it had stopped by the time deputies arrived, but she was worried about it scaring her animals and causing them to get loose.
11:26 p.m., 1 Resort Way- Resort staff received complaints from guests that three women in their early 30s were being loud in the pool. The staff member went to let them women, who were now in their room, know, but they simply listened, disagreed and went back to their room. A deputy arrived and noted he could hear them outside the door but not from the street, so the staff member opted to let them be.
Deputies also conducted a security check, made 23 traffic stops, assisted the public 14 times, removed two traffic hazards, served two warrants and worked two false alarms, one non-injury accident, two animal calls and two reckless drivers.
