A 10-year Boerne Police Department veteran, Sgt. Pablo Morales, was arrested in the early morning hours Monday on a domestic violence charge.
Information from BPD states a call came in at 1:06 a.m. Monday morning when a woman alleged her partner was assaulting her in the 700 block of Oak Park Drive. A statement from the police departments states a preliminary investigation indicated a physical altercation did occur, and Morales was arrested and booked into the Kendall County Jail.
Morales was booked into the jail at 3:04 a.m. Monday on an assault causing bodily injury-family violence charge and held on $3,000 bail. He bonded out by 1:15 p.m.
According to the BPD statement, Morales, who is 33 years old, has been placed on administrative leave “while the Boerne Police Criminal Investigation Division conducts an internal and criminal investigation.”
No other information could be obtained by The Star’s Tuesday press deadline. More information will be provided as it becomes available. However, the city and BPD have declined to comment any further while the investigation is underway.
“At this time, neither the city nor police department will conduct on-camera interviews or comment further,” an email from Boerne Communications Director Chris Shadrock stated.
Morales first signed on with BPD in 2012 and was promoted to his sergeant rank in September of last year.
