The Boerne High boys golf team completed the 2021-22 season this week at the 4A state tournament in Kingsland at the Legends Golf Course.
Boerne High finished eighth at the 4A state tournament in a field of 12 teams with a twoday score of 666. The Hounds shot rounds of 338 and 328 and shaved 10 strokes off its score on the second day.
Price Hill had the team’s best finish after he shot rounds of 83 and 73 for a 156 to tie for 17th. Braden Baize finished with rounds of 85 and 75 for a 160, Cole Gentry scored a 176 after touring the course with rounds of 85 and 91, Colton Hoegemeyer also shot a 176 with rounds of 87 and 89 and Jaxon Baize rounded out the team with a 183 after he shot 85 and 98 at the tourney held Monday and Tuesday.
Argyle won the tourney with a 592 (290,302), Bullard came in second with a 639 (311,328) and Bridgeport finished third at 640 (319,321).
Argyle’s Gaven Lane won the individual event with a 136 (70,66), Wimberley’s Jaxon Donaldson took second with a 142 (67,75) and Waxahachie Life School’s Nolan De Los Santos placed third with a 145 (71,74).
