Both the Geneva School of Boerne and Comfort volleyball teams were on the court earlier this week with district matches.
The Eagles made the long drive to Corpus Christi to face John Paul II, while Comfort was at Ingram on Tuesday.
Geneva
The Eagles won Tuesday’s district match in Corpus Christi in straight sets against John Paul II, 25-13, 25-18, 25-12.
Geneva improved to 9-1 in district and then turned around and played the other Corpus Christi school in their district, Incarnate Word, Thursday in Boerne.
Comfort
The Deer dropped their second district match in a row after they were defeated by the Warriors from Ingram in five sets Tuesday night.
Comfort slips to 4-3 and in the last two matches, the Deer have lost to teams they beat in the first round of district action.
After defeating Blanco in four sets in the first round, Comfort was swept by the Panthers in the second round.
Comfort also beat Ingram in four sets in the first round but dropped Tuesday’s match in five sets.
The Deer looked to get back on track Friday at home against Brady, a team they swept in the first round.
CHS is tied with Ingram for third place at 4-3 in the district. The Deer are 18-14 overall.
