Boerne Champion took on Clark Monday in a district water polo match in San Antonio.
The Chargers were scheduled to play Marshall and Health Careers Saturday as they continue league play.
The Champion boys doubled up Clark, 24-12, to stand at 13-4 overall and 4-0 in district.
Champion was up 10-1 at the end of the first quarter and was leading 14-5 at the break. They outscored the Cougars in the second half 10-7.
Bexon Harrison led the team with 11 goals and 4 assists, while Owen Altermatt added 4 goals and 5 steals.
The Lady Chargers beat the Cougars, 10-6. It was 6-3 at halftime and Champion finished it out with four goals in the fourth quarter.
Champion is 12-5 overall and 3-1 in district.
Cora Skoog was Champion’s top scorer with 6 goals and Kate Deykin had 3 goals, while Cayden VanDyne finished with 4 steals.
Boerne High
The Boerne High water polo teams tangled with Health Careers Monday in San Antonio as they continued district play.
The Greyhounds dropped matches on both the boys and girls side. Boerne High was scheduled to play Brandeis in another district match this weekend.
The Boerne girls are 0-9 overall and 0-4 in district, while the boys are 1-3 in district and 1-8 overall.
