The Boerne High volleyball team won its home opener Tuesday when the Lady Greyhounds battered the Rams of Marshall in three sets, 25-9, 25-19, 25-22.
BHS is 5-3 overall under first-year coach Staci Lawrence, who just picked up her first career victory at Greyhound Gym.
Tuesday also marked Boerne’s first three-game sweep this year.
BHS is scheduled to play in the SAISD tourney this weekend.
The Lady Hounds also got a boost this week when former Cornerstone player Kaylie Bourn, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker, transferred into the school.
Bourn had a kill, while Paige Stegall led the team in that stat with 13 kills, while Calynn Ramos added 6 kills.
Haley Wheeler, Lauren Magnus and Aubree Stegall all dropped in 2 aces, Paige Stegall tallied 2 blocks, Wheeler led the team in digs with 11 and Kinsley Sawyer added 10 digs, while Ramos recorded 15 assists and Magnus added 11 assists.
