Both the Boerne ISD tennis teams were in action last weekend as they continued their 2024 seasons with non-district matches at home.
Boerne High
The Greyhounds defeated Antonian 13-6 and remained unbeaten after they improved to 4-0 this season. Boerne is off until this weekend when they play in the Hill Country Team Tennis Tournament that will take place in Kerrville Friday and Saturday.
Champion
Champion played two matches last weekend. They hosted McAllen Memorial Friday at the BMSS courts and the Chargers were in action again the next day when they played Abilene at the Boerne High courts Saturday morning.
The Chargers defeated McAllen Memorial, 17-2, and lost to Abilene High, 13-6. They are 3-2 overall.
All Champion home matches from this point forward will be at the Boerne High courts.
The Chargers continued play at Smithson Valley Tuesday in a district match and host Wimberley Friday at the BHS courts in a non-district match that’s scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
