Three of the four 11-man football teams in Kendall County finally got a chance to hit somebody other than their own teammates last weekend after they held their first scrimmages of the year.
Boerne High hosted New Braunfels last Friday at Boerne ISD Stadium.
Comfort was also at home and welcomed Randolph at Bobcat Stadium.
Geneva School of Boerne was at Hyde Park for their first scrimmage of the year.
Champion held their first practices last week and will hold their only scrimmage of the season Thursday against Churchill at Comalander or Blossom Stadium.
The Chargers open the season at BISD Stadium Friday, Aug. 30, against Laredo United South.
Boerne High hits the road Thursday and scrimmages Liberty Hill before starting the season next Thursday at Pieper.
Comfort scrimmages at Florence on Thursday and then opens the season on the road at Brackett on Friday, Aug. 30.
Geneva will have both its scrimmages on the road and visits Brentwood Friday. The Eagles open the regular season at home Friday, Aug. 30, against San Antonio Christian.
